SinQuenza, «Paradise of Waste», 2011-2012

SinQuenza combines different disciplines to create his installations. Everyday objects are erased of brand and other redundant information. He creates a visual language which remains personal while being anonymous. Spectators recognize their daily environment in these effaced objects. Facing the actual consumption habits of western society and their only eternal remanent: Trash.

Anne Nather, «Impressions of different productions of the play «Im Wald ist man nicht verabredet», 2009-2012

Anne Nather states «The characters in my texts usually cannot, or do not want to seperate death from life. My work is devoted to existential situations affected by illness or grief. I try to work against still existing, sometimes hidden taboos, aiming to integrate disability, dying and mourning into life. I am also interestedin failure and crisis, and going together with that, in turning against common lifestyle concepts that we are expected to copy and live.»

IM WALD IST MAN NICHT VERABREDET

ABOUT THE PLAY: Simon is sick to death. Together with his younger brother Anton, an artist who is caring for him, he moved back into the woods with the whish to die in calm. One day, Elsie is found hiding in the grandfather clock -a young woman longing for a red thread in her lifestory, searching for shelter for her flexible biograhphy, which she overlaps with countless renarrations of movies. Elsie is both – fiting into the symbiosis of the two brothers, and also messing it up. Sheis not only disavowing the dramaturgy of Simon’s spectacular but also harmless announcements of suicide, as pure farce – she is also interfering the brother’s division of tasks. As a welcome distraction and as an interlooper as well, she is bringing a dynamic into the life of the isolated forest cabin, of which you sense it will bring a lasting change. In the end, Simon is dead, and nobody knows if it happened acidentally. Anton goes on tinkering on his overdimensioned sculpture in the cellar, that is never going to be finished. Elsie escapes and is onthe way to the „prom of evil hearts“.

Anne Nather has written a sibling-play that exceeds a portrayal of dependance, sibling’s love and jealousy. IM WALD IST MAN NICHTVERABREDET resembles a tale that is approaching the charming constellation of three people, in a timeless, mysterious and bizarreway.

Mick Lorusso states «These boards are the construction sites for Plexiglas houses that will form part of Microbial Schöppingen. This is a model based on Schoppingen in the year 1600, in which communities of bacteria, one of the most ancient life forms on earth, inhabit the houses and create electrical current. This technology, known as Microbial Fuel Cells, will create light for the miniature town.»
